SEPTEMBER 14, 2006

We tried to post after we arrived and it didn't seem to work. We are still learning, so we will try again. It kind of followed our day. We started with a service call to fix a leak in the cabin...old one that came back. We won't know if we got it untill it rains again. Next the fuel dock was closed, but finally got them to open. We were now about an hour late starting. NOAA reported 2 foot waves, they lied. Rough water shifted the dingy, so back to the dock for quik redo and more tiedowns.
Everthing ready we left around 2:30 heading for Port Huron. Water calmed down half way across lake Eris and sun came out in Detroit. It is a 5hour run so figured we would arrive before dark. Very few boats out, only lakers trying to get to the iron range for one more load before the gails of Nov.
Things got better all day. Arrived just as bridges in Port Huron were opening. Three dock hands meeted us which made Mary lou happy. Mary Lou fixed fillets, salad, and new potatoes and a little wine topped the evening off. Things are getting better.
