NOTES FROM THE SECOND MATE..EMIL

The second mate,Emil reported for duty on 9/25.Craig picked me up at Chicago airport and we proceeded to the port.
The first day on the river turned out to be a nightmare.I advised the Captain to pass the tug boat on the port side and I should have said starboard side.The picture shows the results of my error.
This is my one and only report.I have been fired by the Captain and I am walking back to New England.
A new second mate,a navy man , will come aboard in St Louis.
