May 6, 2007 St. Augustine

Today started much better than it ended up. We took a ride to the Lighthouse and then to the beach. It started getting pretty ugly out so we headed back to the boat to close things up. Barb made it back in time to close the windows, but Bob and I got soaked. Craig was parking the car so he managed to avoid it. We had 35 mph winds and hail, lightning, and unbelieveable rain. Unfortunately it went from bad to worse and by bedtime we could barely stay in bed.

Two sailboats collided while anchored out. We also found a dinghy floating loose and tied it to the dock here. Unfortunately the engine was still running which scared us a bit. Not a good sign.

However, someone came later to get it and didn't seem upset so I assume everyone was okay.

After the storm passed (rain that is) we ran to the grocery store and then back to prepare dinner. Played some cards to pass the time after dinner. Girls are up by 3 games. This is not the norm so we are loving it!!!!!

Pictures are of the lighthouse and the beach. As you can see it was a great day. Tomorrow is predicted to be stinky again. We had planned on leaving here on Tuesday, but it doesn't look like that will happen. Oh well,that is boating as they say.
