November 4, 2006 First Mate

Good Morning!!! Another beautiful day in paradise with lots of sunshine and relaxation on the schedule for the day.
Yesterday was a nice relaxing day as well. We had a nice breakfast and then went to the grocery store. Only a short walk away and had plenty of supplies that were badly needed. Sometimes we have to struggle with the availability of some things. Not the case here....had everything we wanted and needed. Thank goodness for our pull carts, they are invaluable.
Took a ride on the bikes for the first time and nobody died or fell off this time. We may do it again today. I assume a little football will be on the schedule as well. Not sure which games we will be able to watch, but we both love football well enough to watch almost anything.
Yesterday afternoon we got to see the homecoming parade. Went right past the marina and was a riot. There were kings and queens from as far back as 1956. It was fun and the younger kings and queens were cute and excited. Craig got a few pictures that we thought you might get a kick out of.
Dinner on the boat last night and have finally surrendered to the darn convection/microwave oven. When we get to Florida we are going to start raising some cane about the darn thing. It hasn't worked properly since we replaced it for the fourth time. Dinners are beginning to be more and more of a challenge. Pretty soon we'll be cooking over an open fire on land.
Barb and Paul suggested going out to dinner tonight. I'm not sure where we can go or how we will get there, but it should be fun and sounds really good to me.
Have a good weekend, and we will be posting again when we have anything to report. Hugs, The First Mate
