MAY 7, 2007...St Augustine
Not much to report. The high wind and waves kept us in port today and maybe for the next three days. NOAA radio reported 23 foot waves in the Atlantic with 12 seconds between them. It is rough in side and since we are on the end of the dock we had a rough night. We slapped and rocked most of the night. A bigger problem is our holding tanks are getting full and it is to rough to go for a pump out. This means we walk to the restrooms on shore during the day and only use the boat during the evening. Monday night was a lot calmer and we did get a good night sleep...even though we had to sleep with our legs crossed.
Monday we went to to golf hall of fame. A great place for golfers. In addition, they have an IMAX and we watch a film on Katrina. We also got to play the grass put-put course. The pictures are of the Hall of Fame including the Master trophy.
It was a great day even though it was cool. Dinner on the boat, a little TV, and sleeping in the chair rounded out the evening.
We may be here for a couple more days. It was calm this morning but the wind is back up. May be some laundry and some shopping so as to get off the boat.
