November 15, 2006 First Mate

We had a great time with Rob, Karen, Dean and Terry. Rob, Karen, Captain and I went on to Sarasota Tuesday where we did a little walking around town. Ended up at a Whole Food Market and bought some snacks for the boat. Walked back and Karen made her "perfect" Margarita for the 10th time on the trip...and we ate snacks and beat the guys at euchre. Still can't believe it, but it's true. Rob and the Captain tried to be gracious losers and we chose not to brag too much.
Dinnner was in a really nice Cafe call Bijous. (I think that's the spelling, but you wouldn't know if I was right or not. ) It was great food, but the evening was the best. Being with the kids and enjoying a wonderful atmosphere for our last night on the boat.
Just to let you all know.....we have arrived safely at the dock in Ft. Myers on Wednesday and the boat is tucked in for the next couple of months. We do want to blog one more time but we really do need some time to get our thoughts and stats together. Today (November 16th) will be our day to clean the boat out and get things off and stowed for the winter. That includes those damn measuring poles!!!! Hopefully we will get our last blog on the site tonight or tomorrow. Please hang in there one more day with us and then you can forget about us until Spring. Hugs, The First Mate

congrats on your first leg completed. My mornings will be so empty without getting up and getting my daily dose of treadnwater. Can't wait to see you back in Findlay and we are very proud of you!!!

You know, you could keep up the blog with your day trips around Florida this winter...we would love to read about some of the other places you go. Thanks again and CONGRATS of making it halfway, however remember the famous words of a great football coach "there is nothing less unimportant than the score at halftime!"...until the spring!
