November 6, 2006 First Mate
Another day in port waiting for the crossing. It hasn't been that bad however....we have met some very nice people and we all got together tonight for drinks and snacks in the gathering room. There were 12 of us and we all shared stories and adventures of our boating experiences.
This morning we woke up to the EMS squad here. Barb...our friend on Gen-a-Sea behind us....had a dizzy spell and had previously had a small stroke so they came to check her out. She went to a medical clinic and after checking things out decided it was probably stress. See what this boating does to people?????
We all pretty much decided tonight that the best day to cross will be Thursday or Friday. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the forecast does not change. So far it has changed several times this weekend and so one never knows.
Talked with Rob today and it looks like Dean and Terri are also coming aboard. We look forward to company again. I think we have everything worked out for transportation etc. Logistics are not easy when your at the mercy of the weather. Won't be much longer before I get to hug my kids. Boy do I ever miss everyone!!!
Till next time....First Mate signing off.
