June 14, 2007 Wye River party

Today started with a short trip from St. Michael's to the Wye River. Eight miles to be exact. The water was totally smooth and the ride was great. We took a short ride up the Wye River to a lovely estate that had black sheep grazing in the front lawn. Beautiful setting. Went back to Dividing Creek off the Wye River and anchored out for the night. We never did take the course in anchoring that we said we needed and once again we struggled to get the anchor set. After we got settled in, we relaxed and played a game of dominoes.

Craig and Jerry took the dinghy off the swim platform and we headed out with our two bottles of wine in hand. We went to a lovely home on the Wye River that was a short ride by boat. Linda and Rick Jablin were gracious hosts inviting all 49 of us to enjoy a wonderful catered meal on their side lawn. The weather cooperated by not raining, but threw a curve with cold temperatures. Rick and Chris have a beautiful location with lovely landscaping. It was a wonderful evening.

The picture of Paula was taken in the dinghy on the way back to our boat after the party. Obviously we had a great time. And..the last picture is of David and Gail Bernstein.

It has been a wonderful week and it has been even better sharing it all with Jerry and Paula. We don't get to see them often enough and they more than enjoyed the Gulf Harbour Family.

We must once again thank everyone who worked on the trip and made all the arrangements at each location. We so enjoyed it all and can't wait to do this again soon.

P.S. The first picture just came up and it is some of the flowers around the pool area at Jablin's home. They were spectacular.
