June 18, 2007... Atlantic City

The crew (ML) was up early and we fueled at the dock and departed for Atlantic City at around 9:00am. The trip was only 44 miles and the first 25 miles was flat water. The last 15 miles or so the waves built to around 2 foot on the bow. Not a problem, but just a little bumpy.
We arrive at Trump Marina and Casino at around 11:30 and docking in the wind and tidal current went find. I don't know if I'll be able to dock in calm Lake Erie water when we get home.
We went up to Trump Casino and walked around the slot machines. They have about 90% slot machines and 10 % tables. ML donated $20 to Donald.
We were finally able to find a packet of information on Atlantic City...the Casino doesn't want to hand them out in fear you might leave the slot machines. We spent the rest of the afternoon lining up service on the boat for Wednesday and cleaning the salt off the boat. ML got the seats looking brand new with the Mr. Clean erasers.
We need new zincs and found a diver that will do it on Tuesday. We also finally got a guy to change the oil, however he will be here at 6:00am. We have 200 hours on the engines since the last oil change in Colombus Miss. last fall. He dropped the oil off this evening and got the "paperwork" done. Glen the diver, who will be doing the zincs has been here three or four times to be sure he has everything. He wiil be mid morning.
We have to warm the engines at 6:00am and I hope the neighbors are early risers. ML will probaby have an early morning if the engines are running. Once the boat service is completed, we hope to hop the Jitney and do some sight seeing. Outside the casinos, Atlantic City does not look to have a lot to offer. The girl at the hotel mentioned they were to remove the famous boardwalk this year, but postponed it till next year.
